USAID/LEGIT turned over Knowledge materials to Governance Commission

The Chief of Party of LEGIT/ DAI Mr. Gabriel Abraham, heading a LEGIT/ DAI delegation on Friday, January 15, 2021 donated a huge concernment of Knowledge products in both hard and soft copies to the Governance Commission for used in the Governance and Decentralization Resource Center.

Making the presentation, Mr. Abraham reminded the leadership of the Governance Commission about LEGITs un-finishing support and disclosed that his institution is committed to providing the needed help necessary to the Governance Commission.

Mr. Abraham indicated that the documents include books on Liberia economic geography and cities they worked around and other documents used for rolling out program at the county level.  The concernment also contained training manual, books on government budgeting, policy processes, financial management policy that accounts for LEGITs work and other collaborations.

He praised the Commission for the good work in maintaining the center and promised to communicate GC’s recommendations to USAID on the way forward in sustaining the resource center.

Receiving the resource material on behalf of the institution, the Officer-in - Charge of the Governance Commission Hon. Elizabeth Dorkin welcomed the donation and thank Mr. Abraham and his delegation for the donation and praised  the LEGIT/ DAI leadership for their continue support to the commission’s Governance and Decentralization Resource Center. She promised to save guard the resource material, and to make sure it’s used for its intended purpose.  

Hon. Dorkin emphasized that the Resource Center is an important component of GC as a think tank institution and is also recognize as a one stop shop in providing access to a wide range of documents from the commission and its partners’ work that includes governance issue papers on decentralization, policies, and gender related documents for used by the public, especially students and researchers.
