Prof. Tokpa calls for more collaboration among SOEs

The Acting Chairman of the Governance Commission, Prof. Alaric Tokpa, has called for more collaboration among state-owned enterprises. Stressing the significance of strict compliance with the regulatory guidelines set by the governing bodies, he underscored the necessity for adherence to best practices in governance.
The Chairman made the statement at the dialogue organized by the Bureau of State Enterprises on May 28, 2024, at the Mamba Point Hotel. The dialogue focused on improving the Governance of State-Owned Enterprises and Reducing the Fiscal Risks associated with their operation and reporting.
He admonished the SoEs to work around the crucial objective of enhancing state-owned enterprises' governance structure while mitigating the fiscal risks associated with their operations.
Prof. Tokpa communicated the Governance Commission's unwavering commitment to collaborating with state-owned enterprises to drive productivity improvements and to ensure policy alignment for their institutional mandates and statutory obligations.
